WHS Staff News - Week of 3/21/16

Bring on SPRING!!!!!!

Lets talk about AESOP... for the most part the transition has been smooth, but like anything new, there are a few things that everyone should be aware of (probably a couple months late on this).  The biggest thing everyone needs to understand is not every absence you request goes out immediately to the substitutes. Some don't need any approvals and certain absences require approvals from Dr. Casarico and myself.   If you are selecting an absence category that requires approvals, please understand that these approvals could take up to 48 hours before a substitute is contacted.

Below is a breakdown of how it works:

Sick - no approvals needed, goes out immediately to the subs
Illness in Family - no approvals needed, goes out immediately to the subs
Personal Day Emergency -  no approvals needed, goes out immediately to the subs
Personal Day - Needs Level 1 (Carroll) and Level 2 (Casarico) approval BEFORE going out to subs
Professional Development** -  Needs Level 1(Carroll) & Level 2(Casarico) approval BEFORE going out to subs
**All professional development days should be submitted in AESOP when you get the pink form returned with the Superintendent's signature.
Bereavement Immediate Family - no approvals needed, goes out immediately to the subs
Bereavement Other - no approvals needed, goes out immediately to the subs

Thank you to Linda Willer for going above and beyond again this year with organizing the heart screening schedule.  Seven years and hundreds of students screened, amazing job! #OwnitWHS at its best.

Welcome aboard Heather Ruiz, WHS Alumna and current Track Coach will be filling in for Maggie Hart while she is out on leave.  Please stop by 305 or 417 and say hello.

Enjoy your day off on Friday. Lets start the long weekend off with a Jean/Warrior Gear Day on Thursday.
